Does Sandpiper need the internet?
No. Sandpiper plays completely offline. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to - open it and play, on a plane or anywhere with no signal.
Are there ads or in-app currency?
Never. Sandpiper has no ads and no in-app currency. The one-time unlock is the only purchase, and it is entirely optional.
What modes are there?
Classic is the calm daytime beach, free. A daily shared Tide and a Wonder Tide to wander are free too. The one-time unlock adds Storm Tides, where every shell is worth double, a moonlit Night Tide, and Zen, a soft beach with no way to lose.
What is the love letter?
Sandpiper is, at heart, a game about a bird gathering shells for someone it loves. Whenever you like, you can turn your real run - the shells you have gathered and how far you have run - into a little painted love letter and share it to ask someone out, or just to say hello.
What data does Sandpiper collect?
Almost nothing. Sandpiper has no account, no ads, no tracking, and no analytics - your scores, runs, and settings stay on your device. The one exception is the optional $3.99 unlock: Apple and RevenueCat (our purchase manager) process it and remember you own it, using an anonymous identifier that is never linked to you.
